The low-ambient-temperature air-source heat pump (cold water) unit is the integrated central air-conditioning equipment with air as the cold (heat) source and water as the cooling (thermal) medium to serve as dual-purpose (cold and heat sources) equipment. When the unit operates in the cooling (heating) mode, the compressor absorbs the refrigerant on the low-pressure side, compresses the refrigerant into high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant, and discharges it to the condenser. The heat released in the condenser enables the refrigerant to become high-pressure liquid refrigerant, this kind of liquid refrigerant becomes low-pressure mist after throttling, enters the evaporator for heat exchange, and then it becomes gaseous and enters the compressor. Meanwhile, the refrigerant exchanges heat with the water on the utilization side so as to lower (raise) the water temperature, thus achieving the purpose of cooling (heating).
The low-ambient-temperature air-source heat pump (cold water) units are divided into single-heat type and heat pump type. The heat pump unit integrates the functions of cooling and heating, and can realize cooling in summer and heating in winter, hence one unit with multiple functions.
The low-ambient-temperature air-source heat pump (cold water) unit features intelligent defrosting, and realizes timely and thorough defrosting, thus avoiding heat loss. In the meantime, it can perform many other automatic control functions in addition to intelligent defrosting, such as energy management, anti-freezing monitoring and operation mode, to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.

The unit module equipped with the hand controller is the main module, and the sign of small hand is attached on the board of the electric control box. Other unit modules are sub-modules, and are not interchangeable with the main module, but interchangeable with each other.

The normal temperature unit can operate safely in the ambient temperature range of -15℃ ~ +43℃ with the highest effluent temperature up to 60℃, and the ultra-low temperature unit can operate safely in the ambient temperature range of -30℃ ~ +43℃ with the highest effluent temperature up to 60℃.
